WINdians

There's something happening here...

Anyone else getting that feeling?
Hasn't been felt in these parts for some time, but it is a familiar feeling...

I just got back from the game. Had to stop and set my DVR to record the replay so I can watch it again tomorrow. Great crowd tonight, with none of that "ah, they'll blow it in the end" atmosphere of the last few years. This crowd seemed to EXPECT something magic - and they got it. Beautiful weather, dollar dogs, and a real nice fireworks show after a great Tribe victory. What a great night!

What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware

I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind

I think it's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

What a field-day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side

It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away

We better stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, now, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

That was a big-time moment by the Tribe last night. Not only did they need a win, but winning in front of a big crowd will help hook the casual fan back into coming to the ballpark.

What T Hafner did last night is extremely rare. Two outs in the ninth, it's usually a K.

I felt ever-so-slightly bummed out for not being down there. Dayum!

I thought I would point out that the Indians have played .500 ball since the second week of the season. This sounds negative but nice to think of our team "slumping" at .500. This is and will continue to be a very fun season!
